We were left alone again: Syrian activist

Waad al-Kateab, Syrian filmmaker and activist, joins Al Jazeera’s live from New York. She shares how eight years ago, she and her daughter were displaced, uncertain of their survival. She expressed deep disappointment at the world’s normalisation with the Assad regime and how Syrians feel abandoned once again. Despite her hopes that her daughters might return to their homeland one day, she admits she never thought she would witness such a moment in her lifetime.
